DESCRIPTION OF WORKAs an Aging Care Management Supervisor 1 you will be working within the Care Management (CM) Unit. You will be responsible for supervising a unit of four Care Managers who are responsible for the Family Caregiver Support Program consumers. You will be ensuring timely completion of the work assigned, as well as tracking assignments to identify problems and ensuring corrections are accomplished. You will be responding to casework questions for guidance on consumer issues, or procedural issues in a prompt and knowledgeable fashion. You will have the opportunity to monitor the training needs of care management staff, providing information to staff on available resources, as well as updating staff on new programs or changes in current regulations. Additional duties include, but are not limited to reconciling KRONOS, participating in appeal hearings, serving as acting backup to the other Care Management Supervisor 1 in the CM Unit, and implementing all procedures to conform to PDA (Pennsylvania Department of Aging), OLTL (Office of Long-Term Living), and local Area Agency on Aging program policies.
