　　Job Description

　　We are seeking qualified applicants for a full-time After-School Program Specialist. This position will be responsible for hiring, training, monitoring, and evaluating the work of staff of up to 10 different elementary or middle school locations. After-School Program Specialists assess and identify program needs, design programs and activities, and evaluate programs.

　　To maintain open and professional communication with students, parents, volunteers, and substitutes for CASA and YAS site staff, strong customer service skills are required. An effective candidate will be able to communicate effectively, work in a team, manage their time, be motivated, and be adaptable. PRCS serves a diverse population including but not limited to youth, adults, individuals with disabilities, and seniors.

　　We are currently hiring for the following locations:

　　PRCS, 742 Miller Drive, Leesburg, VAResponsibilities include, but are not limited to:

　　Coordinates recruitment, hiring, and training of program staff supervisors and activity leaders; ensures staff follow County policies and procedures.

　　Designs, develops and implements programs for designated age groups and ensures programs accomplish the goals of the program and meet the needs of the participants.

　　Maintains accurate site rosters and participant information.

　　May perform other essential job functions specific to the position and department assignment.

　　Work schedule is somewhat flexible but is generally 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

　　Associate degree in a field related to the assigned program or department; two (2) years related work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

　　Special Requirements

　　PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

　　Two (2) years of experience operating and supervising children's recreational and instructional activities.

　　Computer skills including Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, and departmental programs.

　　Ability to plan, assign, instruct, and supervise the work of others.
