  Overview

  The Administrator on Duty (AOD) is responsible for the oversight of the movement, staffing and general supervision on the campus. In the absence of campus leadership, the AOD is the senior leader on the campus responsible decision making and communication of information.

  Responsibilities

  Essential Functions:

  Ensure adherence to policy and procedures.

  Monitor on grounds/off grounds resident locations. Maintain communication with cottage staff and assist with monitoring staff and resident locations.

  Obtain census information on each shift and record in the Communication log book.

  Follow the AWOL policy; ensuring missing person protocol and internal/external communications as delineated.

  Assist in the coordination of transportation of all UC to the diverse appointments off campus

  Monitor and supervise visits for all UC by approved sponsors and/or family members

  Supports facility in the compliance of regulations, inspection readiness and ratio coverage

  Ongoing communication with the management and staff on duty

  Monitor staffing on campus; verifying time & attendance and ensuring adequate coverage.

  Monitor staff sign in/out process and initial for verification.

  Ensure adequate staffing throughout the cottages, channeling staff where needed on their respective shifts or utilizing the per-diem lists to call for additional support.

  Provide leadership during crisis and ensure proper response, communication and documentation.

  Respond to crisis situations providing leadership and direction to staff. This includes deploying staff as appropriate, helping to ensure medical/clinical support and reviewing written documentation of incidents when appropriate.

  Report all critical events or reportable incidents (as defined by policy) to the Vice President, Director of Residential and Program Administrators.

  Primary liaison to police/fire and neighborhood/community residents.

  Answer telephones and follow through on requests/issues with accurate record keeping (log books).

  Respond to neighborhood and community calls/concerns as needed.

  Organize and arrange all necessary transportation.

  Prioritize scheduled appointments and immediate needs for transportation of youth.

  Ensure that the vehicle policy is carried out consistently by reinforcing the proper vehicle logs and checklist use to provide oversight of vehicle use; safety, cleanliness and damage.

  Qualifications

  QUALIFICATIONS:Preferred Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services related field.

  One or more years of work experience in a residential treatment program; or

  Two or more years of experience in group work which involved direct care and interaction with youth such as YMCA, schools, recreational facilities, or residential care programs;

  Ability to transport youth and travel.

  Ability to work a variety of shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime; and the ability to respond to crises situations.

  Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with staff, community groups, the courts, other agencies, and the general public.

  Excellent writing and communication skills

  Proficient in Microsoft Office suite

  Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) a plus

  Possession of a valid vehicle operator’s license and clean driving record

  Annual Salary $46,818.00
