　　Essential Duties/ResponsibilitiesGreets individuals, answers inquiries, and responds to all activity in themain reception area. Responsible for maintaining office supply inventory andensuring the pamphlet rack is stocked with all necessary supplies,booklets, and forms. Receives incoming calls; responds to citizen orstaff inquiries, screens calls, and takes messages or transfers calls as appropInterviews applicants in need of assistance in person or on the telephone;requests and obtains documentation and information required to determineprogram eligibility. Assists applicants with VA claims issues. Performsadministrative duties including copying, data entry, filing, and faxing.Composes, types, and edits correspondence reports, letters, memos,and forms ensuring correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Coordinatesand schedules appointments, meetings and events using Microsoft Outlook;maintains Outlook calendar. Receives deliveries, verifies correct items havebeen received, and ensures items are not damaged. Processes returns ofincorrect or defective items to include tracking shipments and confirmingdelivery to the vendor. Verifies packages pending shipment are properly addressScans documents into the computer and transfers scanned information onto a CDaccording to established procedures. Sorts and distributes incoming mail andfaxes; processes outgoing mail. Establishes, updates, and maintainssocial media, websites, and electronic newsletter with information for theveteran community. Performs other duties as required.
