Administrative Services Accounts Receivable Coordinator Benton, AR
SUMMARY
The Administrative Services Accounts Receivable Coordinator isresponsible for the receipt and
accounting of funds being paid to the city. Position is deemed safetysensitive.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to performeach of the following

Receives and counts cash, checks, and credit card payments from all CityDepartments
daily ensuring documentation is complete, contains accurate information,including
calculation of tax, the deduction of available discounts, paymentdiscrepancies, and
coding to proper account numbers.
Properly receipts all transactions in appropriate funds prenumberedreceipt book.
Prepares, tracks, and makes all City deposits. Records receiptstransactions on
appropriate bank registers and journals.
Prepares and processes monthly transfers. Records transactions onappropriate bank
registers.
Receives, receipts, prepares, and deposits monthly payments ofAdvertising and
Promotion (A&P) Tax. Completes daily cash report.
Maintains monthly spreadsheets for Franchise Fees, Concessionaire, CityEvents, etc.
Verifies daily cash and processes report submitted by City Departmentsensuring
accurate accounting of funds received.
Records amounts collected for taxes, fines, fees, permits, licenses,etc. and prepares
deposits for receipts.
Records transactions on appropriate bank registers and journals.
Prepares and uploads journals of transactions for monthly financials.
Processes returned checks from City accounts and attempts to collect.
Answers questions and provides information to vendors, auditors, andDepartment
Heads regarding invoices, payments, and account balances.
Creates and maintains organized Accounts Receivable records ensuringelectronic and
hard copy files are accurate and complete.
Creates invoices and sends annual pole rentals before January 31st ofeach year, then
follows up until all payments are received.
Creates invoices and sends quarterly invoices before the 25th of eachmonth, then
follows up until all payments are received.
Creates invoices and sends monthly invoices before the 25th of eachmonth, then follows
up until all payments are received.
Operates a light duty, automatic transmission vehicle to run errands.
Serves as back-up for the Finance/ HR Specialist and Accounts PayableCoordinator, as
needed.
Performs other duties as necessary or assigned.

noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. Theoffice environment also has
