In the role ofAdministrative/Credentialing Specialist you will beworking in Surgery.Purpose Under general direction, perform routine and advancedadministrative duties requiring considerable skill and in-depthknowledge of organizational policies and procedures. Coordinate andmaintain the departmental website. Supports a centralized credentialinginitiative within the department and assists with provider licensureapplications. Primary Functions Coordinates department website changeswith input from the Department Chairman, Division Cheifs and otherfaculty and staff. Establishes and maintains a standard web format so asto promote a consistent format across the department. Independentlycompletes licensing forms and correspondence for lisensure andcredentilaing to facilitate the timely licensure and crentialing of MDs,APNs and PAs. Coordinates submission of necessary documents fromexternal organizations (e.g. other state licensing boards, medicalschools, residency programs, etc.) to support the licensing ofdepartmental personnel. Assists with completion of detailed forms forcredentialing of faculty, APPs and others as needed. Anticipate andinitiate action regarding administrative functions while coordinatingand leading projects. Compose correspondence as needed, which maycontain confidential information. Use complex functions of a variety ofcomputer applications and software packages to develop macros andtemplates. Proofread and format documents to ensure accuracy. Screentelephone calls and visitors to resolve complex inquiries. Coordinateschedules, meetings, appointments, and travel itineraries and relatedarrangements. Compile data and information from multiple sources toprepare reports. Process payment requests, requisitions, and invoices.Distribute mail and organize filing systems accurately maintainingrecords. Knowledge - Skills - Abilities Knowledge of computers, clericalprocedures, customer service standards, collaboration, and informationmanagement.
