Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Specialist with expertise in QuickBooks Online to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and a meticulous approach to handling financial transactions. This role requires proficiency in QuickBooks Online, as well as the ability to effectively communicate with vendors, clients, and internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions efficiently and accurately.
Process vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of payments.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
Generate and send invoices to customers promptly, ensuring adherence to payment terms.
Follow up on outstanding customer invoices and resolve billing issues promptly.
Record all financial transactions accurately in QuickBooks Online.
Prepare and maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable reports for management review.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
Collaborate with internal departments to resolve any billing or payment discrepancies.
Maintain organized documentation of financial transactions and records.
Assist with other ad hoc financial tasks and projects as needed.
Requirements:
Proven experience working as an Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Specialist or similar role.
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is required.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software is a plus.
Familiarity with general ledger functions and month-end/year-end closing processes.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information with integrity.

Requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification(s) in accounting or bookkeeping is a plus.
Previous experience in a similar role within the industry is advantageous.
Familiarity with electronic payment systems and online banking platforms.
