  Administrative Assistant, Honor Code Office

  The Assistant to the Director/Office Manager plays a key role in assisting the students of BYU in their quest for perfection and eternal life. This position oversees the administrative functions of the Honor Code Office. They strive to maintain a positive, efficient, and effective working environment for the Director and others who work in the Honor Code Office. This position requires the individual to become well versed with the mission and aims of the university and to foster relationships with departments and faculty across campus with whom the Honor Code Office interacts. They must work in a professional manner with sensitive and confidential student information. Discretion is a must. Our goal is to help students come back into good standing as quickly as possible. We want students to succeed!

  *What you'll do in this position: *

  Administrative assistance to the Director of the Honor Code Office. Management of the office operations.Supervision of the Honor Code Office Specialist.Personal and professional development. What qualifies you for this role:

  Required

  A firm commitment to the mission of BYU.Some college.4 years of relevant work experience in an office setting.Or the equivalent combination of education and experience.Preferred

  Supervisory experience. Higher education work experience. *Other skills, abilities, knowledge, licenses, certifications: *

  Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize, and comfortable working independently or as part of a team (required)Keeping information confidential a must (required)Ability to resolve emotionally charged conflicts (required)Exceptional oral and written communication skills (required)What we offer in return:

  The essential functions of this pos tion require in person work. Any exceptions are granted by university policies through employee relations. This position is located in an on-campus workspace with the expectation that work takes place on campus to provide in person services and availability to BYU students, staff, administrators, and campus community during established and regular office hours. 

  In addition to essential functions of the job performed during regular office hours, this position may require work on nights and weekends for the purpose of providing services to students, achieving the objectives of departments, and contribute to the mission of Campus Life.
