  Job Summary

  The Accreditation Coordinator will provide support to the Assistant Vice Provost in Institutional Effectiveness and Reporting. Manage multiple facets of complex accreditation reviews that includes the decennial reaffirmation and the 5th year interim review as well as supporting the substantive change process. The Accreditation Coordinator will coordinate with all appropriate administrators, colleges, faculty, and staff.

  Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  Facilitates, and manages multiple facets and issues related to accreditation and accreditation visits.

  Consolidates relevant data, information, and policies from varied institutional sources from colleges and departments.

  Updates Assistant Vice Provost on potential issues of non-compliance with SACSCOC .

  Collaborates with other IER staff to ensure accreditation tasks are completed in a timely manner.

  Stays abreast of pending and final changes to standards, requirements and policies of the institution and SACSCOC .

  Performs other duties assigned.

  Required Qualifications

  Bachelor’s degree.

  Experience in higher education accreditation (institutional or discipline specific).

  Experience using specialized software packages.

  Proven experience leading/coordinating a departmental or institutional process(es).

  Preferred Qualifications

  Master’s degree.

  Project management experience.

  Experience managing functions of higher education executives.

  Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  Knowledge of SACSCOC standards, requirements, and policies.

  Ability to organize work effectively, conceptualize and prioritize objectives and exercise independent judgment based on an understanding of organizational policies and activities.

  Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships with faculty, staff and administrators.

  Ability to establish a calendar of events and set deadlines.

  Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
