MSA Security, an Allied Universal® Company, is hiring a Payroll Coordinator. The Payroll Coordinator position is located in the New York City headquarters, supporting 1000+ employees of the company. The Payroll Coordinator is responsible for the accurate and timely administration preparing and processing payroll as well as maintain payroll related data.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare and process both weekly and bi-weekly hourly payroll for approximately 1,000+ employees
Organize, maintain, and update employee wage, tax, and personal information in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS)
Investigate and promptly respond to complex employee inquiries regarding wages, taxes, Paid Time Off (PTO), and deductions in a clear, concise, and timely manner
Review and record Paid Time Off (PTO) requests for biweekly salaried and hourly payroll
Generate payroll adjustments as necessary
Produce and reconcile timesheets to certified payroll reports and identify and resolve any discrepancies
Assist in periodic audits, both internally and externally
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field of study
Minimum of two (2) years of payroll and timekeeping experience
Professional interpersonal and communication skills to effectively document and report important information with all levels of the organization
Exceptional attention to detail to ensure all process steps are followed and data/information is correct
Demonstrated ability to take initiative, successfully handle and prioritize multiple competing assignments and effectively manage deadlines
Highly proficient and fully functional in the Microsoft Office applications and able to effectively utilize all available office management technology
Professional, articulate, and able to use good independent judgment and discretion
Outstanding oral and written communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Service provider background
WinTeam and ePAY experience
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation
