Description Robert Half has an excellent opportunity for an Accounts Receivable (A/R) professional at a cutting edge company in the Retail industry. To succeed in this role, you will enter, post and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer A/R issues, prepare aging report, place billing and collection calls, maintain cash receipts journal, update, and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L. This is a long-term contract / temporary Accounts Receivable Clerk position and is based in the Farmingdale, New York area.

　　Responsibilities

　　Assist in setting up payment plans; contact clients to help resolve payment issues

　　Carry out an assortment of basic accounting tasks in accordance with standard procedures, including general accounting tasks

　　Confirm documents and codes

　　Take care of payments and compile segments of monthly closings and annual reports in compliance with GAAP

　　Pinpoint delinquent customer accounts through various means, including skip-tracing, phone contact, written correspondence, and make arrangements for payment

　　Settle bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in a variety of ledgers

　　Offer information to shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stakeholders

　　Represent and exude the values, culture, and mission of the organization Requirements - AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field

　　High attention to detail

　　General proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel preferred

　　High-Volume Invoicing experience

　　Knowledge of Microsoft Excel

　　Foundational knowledge in Credit Card Reconciliation

　　Adeptness in High-Volume Invoicing

　　Accounts Receivable (AR) experience

　　Deep understanding of AS400

　　Knowledgeable of ERP systems

　　Demonstrated analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy

　　2+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable
