Key responsibilities:
Receive and review vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and completeness of documentation. Code and enter invoices into the accounting system for payment processing.
Maintain positive vendor relationships, resolve payment inquiries, and address discrepancies to ensure timely and accurate payments.
Process employee expense reports, verifying receipts and compliance with company policies.
Match invoices with purchase orders and verify approvals for payment processing.
Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing new hire paperwork, scheduling pre-employment drug testing/physicals, assist with orientation, and facilitating the setup of employee records.
Requirements
The ideal Accounts Payable/HR Assistant candidate should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education.
Other requirements for the Accounts Payable/HR Assistant position include and are not limited to:
2+ years of experience in accounts payable or HR administration within the construction industry preferred.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and time management skills.
Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Familiarity with payroll systems (Sage 300 preferred) and HRIS is required.
