We are seeking an experienced Staff Software Engineer to join our Platform Engineering team in India and lead the design, development and evolution of ModMed's Integrations and Interoperability Healthcare offerings. The role offers a great opportunity for an experienced technical leader to drive the development and delivery of reliable, performant, and scalable integration services, evolve ModMed’s API EcoSystem and accelerate innovation throughout the org.
The Role:
Lead the architecture and design efforts, aligning with future scalability and business objectives.
Provide mentorship, set technical direction, and drive excellence in the team.
Establish technical roadmap with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Simplify and break down complex requirements into manageable deliverables and milestones through development of technical specifications.
Ensure deliverables meet the functional and non-functional criteria, and drive changes proactively where outcomes are misaligned.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement by guiding other engineers through design, code, and operational reviews.
Skills & Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
9-15 yrs of software development experience, including 3+ years in a technical leadership role.
Extensive Java/Spring Boot/SQL experience.
Deep experience with public cloud services, preferably AWS.
Prior experience building API EcoSystem and standards for platforms / products company wide.
Full stack (backend, frontend, operations) technical leadership experience is a plus.
Strong experience with large scale distributed services, and implementing development and operational best practices.
Exceptional strategic thinking and technical expertise, with the ability to align technology with business objectives.
Healthcare Interoperability experience (HL7, FHIR) is advantageous.
