General Description:
This position will support the day-to-day IT operations of BeiGene Hopewell U.S manufacturing and Clinical R&D Center. They will support the delivery of technology services that support and improve business processes for the users. Leads service management, customer support, relationship management, and providing technical guidance.
The candidate will be an instrumental part of the IT team in implementing the IT vision and enhancing the
Company’s current systems, processes and infrastructure necessary to support future growth and expansion plans.
The ideal candidate should bring experience working in infrastructure and support services including cloud/SaaS exposure and introducing new technologies and change in a dynamic environment. The candidate should have IT Operations and End User Services background in a pharma manufactory environment.
Essential Functions of the job:
Primary contact as IT Site Manager to define and prioritize IT service requirements.
Provide strong business knowledge, handle highly complex problems, have extensive knowledge of manufacturing tools and processes.
Ensure adherence to established corporate strategies, standards and policies and suggest modifications as appropriate.
Partner closely with IT Business partner of manufacturing to maintain and manage a compliant GxP environment. Review multiple team, group, or service deliverables to ensure quality (design walk-through, test results, etc.) and adherence to processes, standards, and regulatory requirements. Participate in all internal and external audits and provide services in a timely manner. Engage in strategic initiatives, planning process, and making technology recommendations.
Ensure the stability, performance and integrity of IT backbone (LAN, network equipment, VMs, Servers and storages) which support MES, PIS in manufactory.
Ensure the stability, performance and integrity of all in-house data, voice/video, and wireless network infrastructures.
Maintain all end point devices like Desktop, Laptop, Mobile devices according to the corporate guidelines and standards.
Be a proactive member on any IT projects which be assigned by Global IT or business group.
Maintain all IT devices in Lab or workshop in the GxP environment.
Perform security audits, system backups and recovery of server and network infrastructure.
Provide training guidance to end-users whenever appropriate.
Manage or participate on projects as required.
Qualification
8+ years of experience in an IT management or leadership role leading teams for both infrastructure and systems projects, preferably experience in (pharmaceutical) manufactory industry, at least a mid-size plant required
Bachelor's degree in MIS/CIS/BIS or Business or Engineering
Extensive technical knowledge within a complex, GxP manufacturing facility, executive presentation skills, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
Broad understanding of systems operations, systems management, user support and help desk methodologies.
Familiarity with networks, firewalls, ISPs, VoIP and data centers
Experience with a virtualized environment in a distributed infrastructure
Proficiency with system/data backups and restores
Experienced in SOX Audit and know how& why, familiar with IT Compliance
Experience presenting and influencing across an organization or team
Sound administration and interpersonal skills. Must be able to interact in a team environment
High degree of diplomacy and ability to see and rationalize multiple points of view
Fluent English and good communications.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in pharm industry preferredSupervisory Responsibilities:
This position includes managing staff, coaching and mentoring of junior staff with training / orientation / qualification and development plan when required.
