Accounts Payable Coordinator
Western States Fire Protection is seeking an Accounts Payable Coordinator. Western States Fire Protection is a full service fire protection contractor. Western States Fire Protection is one of the largest, most respected providers of fire protection systems and services in the industry.
Job Responsibilities
Complete set up of new vendor accounts
Process vendor account updates
Preparation, submittal and coding of AP invoices for payment
Vendor statement review
Correspond with vendors and respond to payment inquiries
Work with new and existing vendors to maintain current account status
Work with vendors, purchasing and staff to resolve AP invoice discrepancies
Request, track and retain Vendor Agreements, W9’s and Insurance Certificates
Maintain various types of files / records (electronic / hard copy)
Data entry, as needed
Assist with purchase order entry and inventory transfers, as needed
Assist Accounting Department with other projects, as needed
Assist with office reception functions, as needed
Accomplish responsibilities as required using business software approved by SFP
Job Qualifications
Excellent computer skills with working knowledge of business software applications, including the Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent/effective written and verbal communication skills
Experience in Accounts Payable preferred
Experience in the construction industry a plus
Ability to multi-task, function and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Possess solid time management skills
Ability to adapt to changing processes and to identify areas of process improvement
Possess critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
Detail oriented
Maintain a courteous, friendly, helpful attitude, at all times, when dealing with customers, vendors
Willing to pass a post-offer background check and drug test
