Description

　　Robert Half has an opening for an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk in a stimulating work environment with a team of highly skilled professionals. The candidate in this role will work closely with and report to the Accounting Manager. Other responsibilities include attending to the general administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department. The primary focus of this role is matching and batching code, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L and processing checks are primary areas of focus. This Accounts Payable Clerk role will be located in the New Orleans, Louisiana area and will be a short-term contract position.

　　Your responsibilities in this role

　　Help with internal and external audits as required

　　Organize, register, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents

　　Assist the AP/Finance Department with administrative tasks

　　Complete special projects on an as-needed basis

　　Verify, log and mail checks, including expediting special handling

　　Open, organize, and distribute department mail daily

　　Provide customer service to internal business partners

　　Perform full-cycle A/P

　　Execute daily processes and controls accurately and in a timely manner; ensuring compliance with company policies

　　Requirements

　　Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

　　Administrative Assistance experience

　　Microsoft Excel experience highly desired

　　Foundational knowledge in Google Sheets

　　Accounts Payable (AP) experience desired

　　Enter Invoices experience

　　Prior experience in an A/P role preferred

　　Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds

　　AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred

　　Proficient with spreadsheets and databases
