DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:The Accounting team in our National Support Center (NSC) is looking for a Senior Accountant at their Lafayette Hill, PA office.
Job OverviewThe Sr Corporate Accountant is primarily responsible for general accounting including preparing and analyzing general ledger transactions and financial information including pension and payroll accounts. Provides support and financial information to profit center managers and region managers as needed to help identify financial issues within each of their P&Ls. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring financial compliance and providing insight into the financial health of the business.
Core Job Responsibilities * Support decision making by our 420+ business unit managers, regional management, and senior management through analysis of trends and communicating answers to P&L issues in a timely manner. * Review balance sheets, P&L statements, and other financial reports to ensure accuracy and identify any opportunities. * Responsible for period-end close process, general ledger, and reconciliations. * Research the appropriate application of GAAP and implementing new technical guidance, inclusive of analyzing and communicating the impact of the new guidance. * Consolidate and analyze total company financials, prepare and post monthly journal entries, and prepare and analyze quarterly debt covenant information. * Prepare annual report financials and footnotes. * Prepare pension plan information for the annual pension audit. * Complete reconciliations and understand all account balances. * Perform special projects as required by management.
Basic Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Accounting * 5 to 6 years of progressing relative experience * CPA (preferred) * Experience with payroll accounting and consolidations. (preferred)
Skills * Knowledge and hands on experience with SAP
