Description

We are eager to welcome an Accounts Payable Specialist to our clients team in the Manufacturing industry, situated in Hayward, California, United States. This role is a contract to hire employment opportunity that involves processing customer applications, maintaining precise customer records, and resolving customer inquiries. You will also be expected to monitor customer accounts and take necessary action.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately processing accounts payable and posting them into the accounting system in a timely manner

• Conducting reviews, audits, and processing of employee expense reimbursements while ensuring adherence to company policies

• Preparation and mailing of accounts payable checks

• Liaising with relevant departments to secure proper payment approvals

• Conducting data entry tasks

• Keeping the accounts payable ledger, files, and records well-organized

• Identifying and recommending potential improvements

• Responding to vendor and employee inquiries about invoices, expenses, payments, and check requests; assisting with discrepancy reconciliation

• Reconciling vendor statements

• Preparing and reviewing accounts payable reports; reconciling periodic reports to maintain current reconciliation status for various vendor and general ledger accounts

• Assisting with monthly closings, journal entries, accruals, prepayments and bank statement reconciliation

• Undertaking related special projects as needed.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP)

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Knowledge of SAP software

• Experience with Expense Reports

• Ability to Process Expense Reports

• Manufacturing industry experience preferred
