Description

Robert Half has partnered with a company seeking a meticulous Accounts Payable Clerk in New Orleans, Louisiana. The role is in the telecom industry and will be stationed at our office. The successful candidate will be tasked with managing our accounts payable system, including processing payments, maintaining cost reports, and managing invoices. This is a short-term contract to full time employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Process, verify, and reconcile invoices and other documentation

• Manage check runs and ensure timely payments

• Perform account reconciliation activities to ensure accuracy and compliance

• Handle data entry tasks for the accounts payable department

• Use Microsoft Excel to maintain data and financial records

• Code invoices correctly and track all invoice processing details

• Maintain accurate and comprehensive financial or accounting records

• Post invoices to the correct general ledger accounts

• Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies in the accounts payable function

Requirements

• Proven experience in an Accounts Payable Clerk role or similar

• Proficient in Account Reconciliation and Accounts Payable (AP)

• Experience in Check Runs and Coding Invoices

• Strong Data Entry skills

• Experience in Invoice Processing

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Ability to Post Invoices accurately and timely

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong problem-solving skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
