DescriptionSUMMARY: Ensure that invoices for Farmers National Banc Corp and its subsidiaries are processed and paid in a timely manner. This job requires that the incumbent understand debits and credits and how to handle basic general ledger entries. The detailed nature of the job also requires a high degree of accuracy, concentration and organization.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to the following:Forward invoices to appropriate managers for approvalReview invoices, credit card bills and employee expense reports for required approval prior to paymentPrioritize invoices according to cash discount potential and payment termsCode invoices with Vendor ID and cost allocation method if applicableConfirm sales tax is charged correctly on all invoicesEnter invoice information into Accounts Payable system for batch processingBalance all accounts payable batches and correct errors prior to postingSave various accounts payable reports as pdf files for audit and support purposesPrint checks, obtain signature if required and place checks in the mailProcess files for electronic payment of invoices and make necessary system entriesMaintain and update vendor payment informationMonitor receipt of ACH payment instructions and W9 forms from vendors requiring a 1099 Misc for tax purposesUpdate expense information in Excel spreadsheets as neededRespond to inquiries from department managers and vendorsWork on special projects as requested by the Controller and Accounting ManagerComplete all mandatory and elective training, including BSA (Bank Secrecy Act) and Anti-Money laundering procedures.
