Description

Robert Half is seeking an Accounting Specialist with a background in construction or project management and knowledge of AIA billing. This role is located in Union County, NJ and could start immediately.

Responsibilities:

Manage and process Accounts Payable duties including invoice processing, coding, and matching receipts to invoices.

Oversee all Accounts Receivable tasks including preparing and distributing invoices, processing deposits, and AIA (American Institute of Architects) billing.

Track time and expenses accurately to ensure smooth running of the financial affairs of the company.

Qualifications:

Construction industry experience is a must

Excellent knowledge of AIA billing procedures and guidelines.

Requirements

• Experience with Sage Intacct and AIA Billing is a must - Timberline or Sage 300 construction would fit as well

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably within the Construction/Contractor industry

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems and Microsoft Excel

• Familiarity with major accounting functions including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Billing Functions, and Check Processing

• Prior experience in the construction industry is a significant plus

• Ability to perform accounting tasks accurately and within deadlines

• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Willingness to stay updated with industry trends and developments

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
