Description Robert Half is actively searching for a talented Accounting Clerk for a well-managed company. In this position as an Accounting Clerk, you will be responsible for matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, data entry and assisting in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This is a long-term contract / temporary position based in the Fontana, California area.

　　Major responsibilities

　　Standard accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects

　　Codify documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of accounting codes and expenditure codes

　　Produce statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources

　　Contribute to Accounts Receivable: help with collection of past due balance, process daily invoices/credit, and apply cash receipt

　　Resolve discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required

　　Help Accounts Payable: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching & filing

　　Report financial facts to journals and ledgerst Requirements - Data entry, document management, file creation and previous records experience required

　　Ability to multitask, collaborate and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds in a fast-paced environment

　　AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred

　　Candidates with Spreadsheet and ERP system experience will be prioritized

　　Knowledge of VLOOKUP

　　Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)
