Description Robert Half is searching for a candidate to fill the position of an Accounting Clerk for an admired, well-known organization. In this position, your responsibilities will include matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers, performing data entry tasks and supporting the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This permanent role is for an Accounting Clerk in the Hollister, California, area.

　　Responsibilities

　　Produce statements and reports using a variety of sources

　　Resolve discrepancies, and create correction documents if needed, by checking all possible sources of disagreement, recreating likely actions, and identifying the effect on other accounts

　　Handle general accounting tasks: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects

　　Carry out additional related duties and help with special projects on an as-needed basis

　　Accurately code documents with expenditure codes and accounting codes

　　Handle accounts payable tasks: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching & filing

　　Use various methods to add financial information to journals and ledgers

　　Handle Accounts Receivable tasks: process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipt, and help with collection of past due balance Requirements - Outstanding data entry skills

　　Qualified in Spreadsheet and ERP system

　　Proven knowledge of Manage Vendor Relationships

　　Aging Reports experience desired

　　Practical knowledge of bank reconciliations

　　Deep understanding of Aging Reports

　　General familiarity with Balance Sheet Reconciliation

　　Maintain Vendor Files experience highly desired

　　Quality experience with Credit Card Reconciliation

　　Well-founded grasp of account reconciliation

　　Foundational knowledge in Accounts Payable (AP)

　　Aging Accounts experience required

　　Ability to handle multiple tasks to prioritize needs and expedite tasks upon request

　　AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred
