Description
The Accounting Manager oversees daily operations to ensure efficient execution of accounting functions, enforces company policies, and collaborates with departments to streamline processes. This role involves building and leading a high-performing team, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and contributing to strategic planning. The ideal candidate possesses strong management skills, excellent communication, organizational abilities, and proficiency in accounting software.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day accounting operations, enforcing company policies and standards.
Collaborate with departments to optimize processes and resource allocation.
Build and lead a high-performing accounting team through recruitment, training, and development.
Provide guidance and support to foster a positive work environment.
Set clear performance expectations, conduct regular reviews, and enhance team productivity.
Ensure accurate financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis.
Reconcile balance sheet accounts and verify transactions in accordance with GAAP standards.
Manage job cost reporting and support CFO with budgets and forecasting.
Optimize accounts payable, audit monthly intercompany transactions, and oversee lien management.
Monitor and control accounts receivable, tax reporting, and fixed asset management.
Handle monthly/quarterly bank compliance activities and maintain licensing requirements.
Manage insurance policies, approve payroll submissions, and oversee company credit card processes.
Strategic Planning:
Contribute to the development and execution of the company's strategic plans.
Analyze data and industry best practices to identify growth opportunities.
Collaborate with senior management on long-term goals and action plans for business growth.
SALARY RANGE: 75,000 - $100,000

Requirements
Required Skills/Abilities:
Excellent management, supervisory, written, and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration preferred.
Minimum 8 years of related experience required.
Experience with NetSuite and construction accounting software preferred.
