Description We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Manager in San Francisco, California. This role is pivotal in managing financial processes in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate billing, financial forecasting, and assisting in audit preparation. Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure timely and accurate billing
• Develop and maintain financial forecasts in collaboration with cross-functional teams
• Analyze actual financial performance against budgeted figures and identify trends
• Provide insights to support decision-making based on financial trends
• Assist in the preparation of financial documents and schedules for audits
• Liaise with external auditors and provide necessary documentation and support
• Ensure compliance with accounting regulations and internal controls
• Utilize Great Plains (GPAC) for various accounting functions
• Conduct auditing and billing functions effectively
• Handle grant accounting as per the requirements of the role Requirements • Candidate must hold a minimum of 10 years of experience in the field of accounting.
• Proficiency in Great Plains (GPAC) is essential.
• Expertise in various accounting functions is required.
• Experience in auditing is a must.
• Candidate should be well-versed in billing functions.
• Knowledge of grant accounting is needed.
• A strong understanding of financial legislation and regulations is required.
• Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail are crucial.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are necessary.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
• CPA or relevant certification is highly desirable.
