As a leader in the Pet Segment of the Global Accounting Organization (GAO) overseeing sales and commercial accounting and controls, you will partner with the sales and marketing functions and segment finance organizations to maintain a well-controlled environment producing accurate financial results in compliance with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP). Additionally, this role provides accounting and technical guidance in support of the order-to-cash process, including revenue, trade and consumer spending while evaluating dynamic business transactions against changing accounting and regulatory requirements. Enablers for success in this role include accounting and controls expertise, the ability to work proactively, have strong attention to detail, ability to partner with multiple functions, effective communication skills, ability to navigate complex subject matter, and a commitment to process andprocess improvement.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:Strategic Leadership & Business Partnership* Provide proactive accounting expertise and business partnership across the order-to-cashprocess: revenue recognition, trade, and consumer related activities within the Pet Segment.* Build functional excellence in accounting capability across the sales and commercial functions and ensure balance between GAO strategy and business needs.* Partner to provide support to other functions based on agreed project plans. Examples include e-commerce strategy, business model changes, trade planning and reporting initiatives.* Provide accounting and controls expertise and business partnership across the Segment.Accounting & Controls Excellence* Follow and comply with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP) and current financial legislation for financial results and ultimate financial statement preparation.* Maintain and oversee all accounting procedures, controls and processes.
