PositionPurpose: Hospital Services Technicians travel between customerhealthcare facilities providing on-site proactive collection andexchange of waste containers for various Stericycle programs, includingbut not limited to: Sharps Management Service, Pharmaceutical Waste,Controlled Substances, and Document Management. This service is providedat regularly scheduled intervals for assigned facilities. Key JobActivities: * Travels between customer healthcare facilities toproactively monitor, collect, and exchange waste containers for variousStericycle programs and services, including but not limited to: SharpsManagement Service, Pharmaceutical Waste, Controlled Substance andDocument Management. * Interacts professionally with onsite customerstaff to ensure service expectations are met or exceeded. * Maintains arigid collection and service schedule. * Communicates duty status on adefined scheduled. * Perform other duties and responsibilities, asassigned. * Position requires extensive lifting, walking, bending, andpushing. Must be able to lift up to 55 pounds and push and/or pull cartsweighing as much as 500 pounds. Experience: * 2+ years\' workexperience or Highschool diploma or equivalent. * Demonstrate strongcommunication skills and tact in providing superior. customer service ina variety of settings and situations. * May require mandatoryimmunizations and credentialing based on customer requirements. * Mustpossess a valid driver\'s license. Must possess reliable transportationto travel between customer facilities. * Ability to work independentlyand with little supervision. * Knowledge of computer/handheld ofsoftware applications including spreadsheets, and application-basedprograms to track daily...
