Description

　　Robert Half is looking to fill a position for an Accounting Clerk for a well-respected organization in the advertising industry. In this position, you will be responsible for playing an essential role in the process of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R), general data entry, and matching invoices to purchase orders and/or vouchers. This is a short-term contract / temporary employment opportunity based in the Tucson, Arizona area.

　　Major responsibilities

　　Remedy discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required

　　General accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects

　　Collaborate with Accounts Receivable: apply cash receipt, process daily invoices/credit, and help with collection of past due balance

　　Aid Accounts Payable: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching & filing

　　Code documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes

　　Report financial facts to journals and ledgerst

　　Assemble statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources

　　Requirements - Candidates with Spreadsheet and ERP system experience will be prioritized

　　Ability to handle multiple tasks to prioritize needs and expedite tasks upon request

　　Comprehensive knowledge of Billing Collection

　　Billing experience

　　AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred

　　Experience with high volume data entry
