The Accounting Clerk duties will include matching invoices to purchase orders/ vouchers, data entry, and assisting with Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). This is a short-term contract / temporary employment opportunity based in the Milford, Connecticut area.

　　What you get to do every day

　　Assist Accounts Payable: A/P invoice matching & filing, vendor invoices and disbursement filing

　　General accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects

　　Reconcile discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required

　　Put together statements and reports that require utilization of a variety of sources

　　Contribute to Accounts Receivable: process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipt, and help with collection of past due balance

　　Upload financial information to journals and ledgers

　　Order documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of accounting codes and expenditure codes

　　Requirements - Ability to enter data into various electronic systems while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data

　　Ability to multitask and attention to detail are critical

　　Accounts Payable (AP) experience required

　　Accounts Receivable (AR) experience desired

　　Cash Deposits experience

　　Strong familiarity with Enter Vendor Invoices

　　AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred

　　Spreadsheet and ERP system experience is a plus
