　　Position Summary

　　DTSI is seeking an Accountant to apply principles of accounting to record, classify, and analyze the data and financial transactions to ensure the accurate presentation of the financial statements of the Company in accordance to General Accepted Accounting Principles.

　　Responsibilities

　　Primary source for maintaining vendor files.

　　Primary source for entering all Account Payables Vouchers

　　Processing of weekly Cash Disbursements Checks, Online, Debit Card and ACH payments.

　　Responsible for the annual 1099 submissions.

　　Assist with General Ledger entries and General Ledger account reconciliations

　　Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities

　　Assist with preparations for the annual audits, tax returns, and other corporate reporting requirements.

　　Produce Reporting request by Program Managers.  

　　Reconciling of all bank accounts

　　Perform all steps of the Account Receivables process.

　　Understand and learn project management from the accounting aspect

　　Understand and learn the purchasing process

　　Back up on semi-monthly payroll processing

　　Perform related duties as assigned by the Controller.

　　Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately in compliance with all company policies and procedures and accepted accounting practices for government contractors.

　　Qualifications

　　Associate’s degree with a minimum of 4-6 years of experience in an Accounting/Payroll position.

　　Demonstrated knowledge of accounting practices including US GAAP

　　General understanding of Federal Government Contract Compliance Regulations found in the FAR, CAS, etc.

　　Good understanding of general and subsidiary ledgers and financial statements

　　Must be proficient with accounting technology tools and systems.

　　Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook).

　　Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary internal and external customer service.

　　Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.

　　Preferred

　　Proven knowledge of the Deltek Costpoint accounting system.

　　Proven knowledge of Unanet accounting system

　　To be able to work independent and be proactive on the Accounting Team.
