Description:
We are seeking an Accountant who will support general accounting operations and control company financial transactions. Responsibilities will also include reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining the general ledger, preparing month-end close procedures, and ensuring accuracy and effectiveness in all company accounting tasks. Responsibilities: - Support in the timely and accurate month-end close process. - Ensure the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, and consolidating transactions. - Prepare and maintain reconciliations for balance sheet accounts and other general ledger accounts. - Support internal and external audits. - Backup for Project Setup and Maintenance in the accounting system. - Backup for Billing. - Research proper accounting treatments for certain transactions as needed. - Troubleshoot any recurring process issues, determining root causes and driving solutions. - Ensure compliance with policies and procedures, including Sarbanes-Oxley. - Assist with special projects as needed. - Perform other duties as assigned by manager.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited university. - Five plus years of accounting experience with increasing responsibility. - At least 2 years of experience in government contract accounting/finance is preferred. - Experience with Deltek Costpoint. - CPA certification is strongly preferred. - Proficient in Microsoft Excel. - Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SOX internal controls. - Thorough understanding and preparation of monthly financial statements with advanced GL reconciliation skills. - Detail oriented with strong analytical problem-solving skills. - Strong multitasking skills with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities. - Reliable, motivated individual dedicated to quality performance.Experience Level:
