　　The University of Chicago\'s Department of Medicine, Section ofCardiology, is seeking full-time faculty members for appointment atAssistant Professor rank to join our nationally recognized adult CardiacCatheterization Laboratory. These Interventional Cardiologists willparticipate in the growth of the Heart and Vascular Institute and haveaccess to state-of-the-art technology and a programmatic approach torevascularization which includes close collaboration with vascular andcardiothoracic surgery.

　　Appointees will share responsibilities across a broad range ofdiagnostic and therapeutic procedures and will participate in a 1:6 callschedule, in addition to staffing the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit andproviding outpatient clinical care on our main campus, Orland Park andRiver East. Other duties will include training and supervision oftrainees and students and scholarly activity. We especially welcomeapplicants with experience and/or training in peripheral vascularintervention, complex coronary revascularization and mechanicalcirculatory/cardiopulmonary support. Compensation (including a generouspackage of fringe benefits) is dependent upon qualifications.

　　Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: (1) have amedical doctorate or equivalent, (2) hold or be eligible for medicallicensure in the state of Illinois, (3) be Board Certified or Eligiblein Cardiology, (4) have completed an ACGME-accredited InterventionalCardiology Fellowship, and (5) be eligible or have passed the AddedQualification Examination in Interventional Cardiology.
