　　Kent State University's Department of Mathematical Sciences invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Applied Statistics. The appointment is to begin August 15, 2024.

　　The individual hired for this position will be expected to engage in collaborative research with other disciplines and to direct theses and dissertations.  Duties will include contributing to the development of the existing statistics curriculum and teaching courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels, including in Data Science.

　　Additional Examples of Duties -- if applicable:

　　Minimum Qualifications:

　　A Ph.D. in Statistics or a closely related degree program.  Preference will be given to candidates with  expertise in Applied Statistics with the ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Data Science.

　　The department expects the successful candidate to exhibit a commitment to excellence in both teaching and research and to develop a strong extramurally funded research program.
