  Job Description:

  At Regions, the Intern works on department assignments while learning more about the financial services industry. As an intern, you will be provided with job skills and training, personal development, and networking opportunities while experiencing Regions' values. Regions offers college internship opportunities within various departments.

  Primary Responsibilities

  Receives exposure to all basic functions of assigned group within the financial industry

  Exposed to a wide range of tasks including research, administrative and correspondence work

  Provides assistance in projects

  Gains valuable insight within a variety of functions while strengthening core skills and knowledge needed to launch a successful career

  Responsibilities will vary by internship

  This position requires the tracking of time and is eligible for overtime hours worked in excess of 40 per week under the Fair Labor Standards Act.

  Requirements

  A college student who has interest in developing technical skills and gaining work experience

  Ability to work 40 hours a week for 10 weeks

  This position is specific to Diversified Credit Products, located in Atlanta, GA. At Regions, the Credit Products Intern works as part of the credit and underwriting analysis team in support of various client coverage groups. The Intern serves with Analysts as the primary analytical support for the Credit Products group and bankers in the origination and execution of underwriting and analysis projects.

  Primary Responsibilities

  • Reviews financial statements to evaluate financial performance and assess credit risk

  • Conducts extensive financial and industry due diligence during transaction underwriting

  • Ensures high quality of deliverables by having strong written communication skills and attention to detail

  • Prepares written material, including quarterly monitoring documents, underwriting approval documents and associated supporting analyses

  • Maintains proprietary databases through monitoring news, current events, transactions and financial information for clients, prospects, and other industry participants

  • Provides expert service with a high sense of urgency in the coordination of Credit Products associates and Coverage bankers to ensure alignment with our mission of delivering the whole bank to the client with speed, certainty, and creativity

  • Supports Credit Products Analysts, Associates and Product Managers with portfolio management and transaction underwriting activities

  • Successful candidates will be expected to assume a substantial amount of responsibility. The Intern will be required to work in multiple roles and on multiple projects, both independently and as part of a team.
