  Job Description:

  At Regions, the Intern works on department assignments while learning more about the financial services industry. As an intern, you will be provided with job skills and training, personal development, and networking opportunities, while experiences Regions values. Regions offers college internship opportunities within various departments.

  Primary Responsibilities

  Receives exposure to all basic functions of assigned group within the financial industry

  Exposed to a wide range of tasks including research, administrative and correspondence work and attend meetings

  Provides assistance in projects

  Gains valuable insight within a variety of functions while strengthening core skills and knowledge needed to launch a successful career

  Responsibilities will vary by internship

  This position requires the tracking of time and is eligible for overtime hours worked in excess of 40 per week under the Fair Labor Standards Act.

  Requirements

  A college student who has interest in developing technical skills and gaining work experience

  Ability to work 40 hours a week for 10 weeks

  At Regions, the Audit Data Analytics intern will engage in a variety of business activities designed to refine technical knowledge, foster teamwork, encourage networking, and demonstrate Regions’ values. Audit Data Analytics Interns will gain real-world work experience in a highly collaborative position, working with auditors and teammates to produce data-driven deliverables. The Audit Data Analytics Internship is open to current college students pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or concentration in an applicable field including, but not limited to Management Information Systems, Business Analytics, Mathematics and/or other STEM Major (i.e. Computer Science).

  Potential deliverables or projects include:

  Back End Development: Execute data development and scripting to plan. May include SQL, Python, API’s, AI/ML.

  Front End Development: Develop actionable dashboards and stories (PBI, Tableau) based on stakeholder requirements.

  Minor Releases: Working an intake queue, execute and implement features for existing data product inventory.

  Support: Provide ad-hoc data/system outputs, migrate/translate code.

  Successful candidates will have exposure or experience in the following areas:

  Data Awareness (Relational Database Management Systems, Entity Relationship Diagrams, cardinality, existence dependency)

  SQL Proficiency (basic skills such as SELECT, deeper exposure is a plus)

  Visualization Tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, Advanced Excel)

  Scripting (Python, R, Java, Scala, C/C++, HTML, etc.)

  College student pursuing a bachelor’s degree or concentration in an applicable field including, but not limited to Management Information Systems, Business Analytics, Mathematics and/or other STEM Major (i.e. Computer Science)

  Preferred minimum 3.0 GPA

  Regions will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position. Applicants for this position must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
