2024 Canon Insights Summer Internship
Canon, U. S. A., Inc. is currently hiring for our 2024 Canon Insights Internship Program.
The program will be held from June 3, 2024 - August 7, 2024.
Canon is an innovative global digital imaging leader that uses technology to dissolve the barriers we face in the connections we build, the experiences we create, and even the lives we live. We are looking for passionate and experienced students to join the Canon USA team. This is a paid summer internship 10-week robust experience based in our Melville, New York Headquarters.
What You’ll Do:
You will have the opportunity to gain hands-on work experience by participating in significant work projects that help you learn, develop business skills, and provide a meaningful contribution to Canon's business and goals.
You will be exposed to world-class teams and our business, marketing, and strategy initiatives through training, meetings, presentations, and other planned activities.
You’ll gain marketable skills and knowledge that you’ll need in transitioning into the workforce.
You’ll come into the office 4 out of 5 days a week (Monday – Thursday) on a full-time (9 AM – 5 PM) schedule based on a 35-hour work week.
Fridays are reserved for off-site team building outings/community activities or remote work.
Who You Are:
A current student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree as of the Summer 2024, enrolled in a related major in the department of interest.
Have excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Team player and work independently.

Responsibilities
The 2024 Canon Insights Summer Internship – Early Talent and Diversity & Inclusion Intern
The summer intern will be responsible for participating in a rotation of projects within the Corporate Human Resources Division and will contribute towards the following projects for the Early Talent and Diversity & Inclusion teams, plus an opportunity to support both groups in liaising with HR Communications:
Early Talent:
Partner with Early Talent to craft calendar of events and support the logistics of the summer internship program.
Suggest and propose creative and innovative trends to enhance Early Talent programs.
Conduct focus groups to collect feedback and testimonials from interns, peer buddies and managers.
Opportunity to moderate internship lunch and learns and networking events.
Utilize the Handshake platform to register for Early Talent events and programs.
Diversity & Inclusion:
Provide overall support to the Office of Diversity & Inclusion while assisting with the fulfilment of government compliance mandates for federal contractors.
Monitor trends and innovations related to Diversity & Inclusion to identify new approaches related to recruitment and retention of underrepresented groups.
Research and suggest ideas to enhance Canon’s family of Business Resource Groups.
Co-facilitate the Diversity & Inclusion intern lunch and learn on Unconscious Bias and Talent Selection
Provide production support for events and programming, including liaising with BRG committee members, vendors, and project teams.
Assist with state workforce outreach initiatives and coordinate job fair enrolment at the local and national level.
Qualifications

Seeking a student pursuing a degree in Human Resources or related field of study.
Seeking a student with an interest in Human Resources and event planning.
Interest to exposure to Diversity Equity and Inclusion or related field.
Detail oriented and proficient with MS Office.
High level of organization and interest to work on multiple projects concurrently.
