Overview:
As a Securities Trader, you will trade both equity and fixed income securities for client accounts, with the goal to optimize the investment portfolio according to each client's financial goals and risk tolerance. You will collaborate with portfolio managers to fill orders, offer recommendations, and conduct research. This role includes the opportunity to work closely with the Chief Investment Officer in developing equity and fixed income strategies for the Wealth Advisory Group.
What You'll Do:
Day in the Life - Every day your focus will be to perform trading functions, including monitoring markets, analyzing data, and creating and executing trades for equity and fixed income securities. You will research investment opportunities and assist with ongoing monitoring of the securities. You contribution plays a crucial role in achieving investment objectives and maximizing returns for the client. Communication is also key in this role, as you develop and maintain broker/dealer relationships and ensure best execution for all portfolio trades.
What it Takes:
Work Experience and Education: 5+ years in investment field with equity and fixed income trading experience, Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting or related field
Knowledge of and experience with: Financial markets and security analysis, Bloomberg, FactSet and electronic trading platforms such as TradeWeb
Skills in: Organizational skills and attention to detail, communicating effectively (both written and verbally across a diverse spectrum), thinking critically and logically, analytical skill in risk assessment, market trend analysis and financial modeling, technological skill in trading platforms, algorithmic trading tools and data analytics software
This position is responsible for adhering to compliance laws, regulations, and established Bank policies and procedures, including SEC Compliance, Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering.
