JOB REQUIREMENTS: Company Generac Power Systems Name Welder I- 1st ShiftReq # 63913 Employment Type Full Time Shift 1st The Welder II isexpected to perform Under the direction of the area supervisor, performMig welding, electric or robotic welding equipment in the fabrication ofparts, to be used in the assembly of product lines to create a highquality finished product. Components may be standardized or customizedas to design and function. Basic Qualifications: *High School diplomaor equivalent *An understanding of welding fundamentals *2+ years ofwelding experience; *Basic welding experience and/or training *Basicknowledge of Mig Welding Equipment *Successful completion of internalweld test *Working towards apprenticeship or certification *Ability tofollow direction and work in a team environment AdditionalQualifications: *Ability to effectively communicate *Contributes toidentifying problems and implementing appropriate countermeasures.*Intermediate PC knowledge. *Problem solving and reasoning skills*Ability to perform basic reading, writing, and math functions.*Ability to interpret drawings, schematics and machine specifications.Preferred Qualifications: *Preferred experience on equipment andautomation consistent with a metal fabrication, paint, and assemblyoperation. *Intermediate mechanical aptitude, ability to understandcomplex issues and systematically work toward resolution. *Previousexperience with inventory control methods. *Ability to train *Abilityto use a forklift, achieve forklift certification Physical Demands:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularlyrequired to stand.
