JOB REQUIREMENTS: A Wedding Specialist is responsible for the servicingof clients. They will meet with clients to discuss details of theirprograms and create the BEO\'s to be distributed to departments andclients. They will possess excellent organizational and communicationskills. They will tour clients of the facility. -Sells banquets andbanquet service to organizations and individual. -Use suggestive sellingtechniques to enhance group programs and increase revenues. -Handlesincoming inquires and books premium business. -Sell, plan and followthrough on all wedding inquires. -Respond to walk-in sales and banquetbusiness as required. -Assists the Director of Sales and/or Senior SalesManager in marketing through outside sales and telemarketing in regardto Group rooms, F & B, Golf, Activities, Spa and Marina. -Plan detailsof booked functions with group contracts for assigned markets anddesignated clients. -Gathers as much information as possible so eachfunction can proceed smoothly. -Prepares banquet event order (BEO\'s)forms clearly and detailed after conclusion of interview and bookingwith client. -Assist group guests with any special requests, problems,or concerns that may arise. -Work closely with the appropriate food andbeverage departments to ensure proper guarantees and arrangements aremade in order to establish and maintain group satisfaction. -Coordinateoutside contract services for assigned groups and post chargesaccordingly. -Coordinate all audio-visual requests for all assignedgroups through the audio-visual contractor. -Follow through on allbillings, credits and discrepancies on a timely basis for all assignedgroups to facilitate timely payment. -Attends catering, sales and foodand beverage meetings as scheduled. While performing theduties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and/orstand; use hands to finger, hands to feel; and occasionally reach withhands and arms. The employee frequently is required to walk; and talk orhear. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision,distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, andability to adjust focus. The position is indoors and outdoors; and isexposed to hot, humid and/or cold conditions at times. The noise levelin the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
