　　Compensation/Benefits:

　　The internship will last for 8-12 weeks. Interns will work 40 hours a week, earn a competitive wage, and housing accommodation will be provided if applicable.

　　Basic Job Functions:

　　As a summer intern, you would be located at our Fort Payne, Alabama campus or one of Vulcrafts outside sales offices.

　　Shadow experienced teammates and learn how they develop new and grow existing relationships with customers to further strengthen relationships and create business opportunities.

　　Shadow experienced teammates in other departments like engineering, production, sales service, and finance to gain a broad understanding of the job process.

　　Attend external customer meetings, participate in job site visits, and take part in tours of our Steel Mills.

　　Participate in team meetings that cover safety initiatives, strategic planning, and market intelligence.

　　Participate in assigned summer-long project with a final presentation

　　As a summer intern, you will gain hands-on experience with working in a professional environment and have ample opportunity to network with our exceptional department leaders and other professionals throughout the industry. You would be expected to work in a fast-paced team environment to allow you to finish the internship having gained broad experience in various aspects of Vulcraft and Nucor.

　　Safety is the most important aspect of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

　　Minimum Qualifications:

　　Current college student majoring in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Finance, Sales, Marketing, Economics or related field.

　　Valid state Drivers License and reliable transportation

　　Proficiency in Outlook, Word, and Excel programs

　　Ability and willingness to travel throughout assigned region

　　Ability, willingness, and desire to work in a hands-on industrial environment

　　Excellent written and verbal communication skills
