Description
This is a staff level Systems Administrator position in the Corporate IT department. The ideal candidate will be able to work with minimal supervision and be flexible enough to work in multiple roles in a challenging IT environment. The position requires a forward-thinking security approach to meet the requirements of a Defense Contractor. A hybrid schedule available for qualified candidates.
What you’ll do as a Systems Administrator
Assist in the deployment and configuration of multiple enterprise-level applications.
Provide IT system infrastructure support, including Active Directory, virtualization, network infrastructure, and Microsoft/Linux related technologies.
Serve as a point of escalation for troubleshooting and systems maintenance.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth and reliable operation of company-wide software and systems.
Systems Administrator Requirements
Requires Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent (experience may be counted in lieu of a degree; 2 years’ experience is equivalent to 1 year of a degree program.
4-6 years of direct experience supporting desktops/laptops and servers; specifically, with systems running Windows 10, Server 2012+ and Linux/Unix systems on a Windows network, including printers and other peripherals. (Education may be counted in lieu of experience, one year of college is equivalent to two years of experience).
System analysis and troubleshooting experience.
Available to support employees and systems in a lean IT environment.
Ability to work collaboratively to solve technical and security related challenges.
Experience managing systems in a midsize environment.
Knowledgeable in multiple Operating System environments (e. Windows 10, Server 2016+, RHEL Linux, Ubuntu Linux) .
US Citizenship required.
Systems Administrator Preferences
Knowledge of Information Security Standards such as NIST, ISO and DISA
Experience with Nessus Security Center, Microsoft System Center
Active Directory
Virtualization software
Datacenter experience
Advanced Windows troubleshooting skills
