  The Role

  Client facing role for an experienced individual contributor. The position will be part of a team of direct sales, commission based, professionals in APAC to deliver against sales targets (new sales, revenue, market coverage, customer retention, among others). The position will own a substantial portfolio/territory (with a primary focus on ASEAN/South Asia/Australasia) and manage the full sales lifecycle to ensure complete client coverage.

  One of the primary objectives is to drive relevance of Second Party Opinions (SPOs) and other ESG products offered by MIS in the region to a significantly higher level, with a primary focus on ASEAN/South Asia/Australasia. This comes with an increased number of new SPO relationships through direct sales, leveraging the existing sales platforms within MIS, and maximizing the number of business opportunities. Other critical output targets are customer retention, price capture and re-subscription (renewals, amendments etc.). Targets segments are all potential and actual ESG issuers - the position will need to build a strong network among intermediaries, other external stakeholders and influencers.

  The position will report to the Head of ESG Relationship Management for APAC and will work closely with other stakeholders, including the broader APAC coverage RM team across Asia Pacific.

  Responsibilities:

  Actively participate in the development and implementation of the ASEAN/South Asia/Australasia's and broader APAC region strategic and tactical sales & marketing plan in close collaboration with the ASEAN/South Asia/Australasia coverage RM team, the ESG APAC Head and Global Head of ESG Relationship ManagementActively support and collaborate with coverage RM team on ESG related business development, and leverage existing MIS relationships to reach exponential outreach capacity Ensure delivery against input and output targetsDevelop and run extensive outreach programs to target issuers and intermediaries, local industry associations and other stakeholders in the financial marketsDirectly manage a portfolio of customer and targets (expected to spend approximately 70% of their time meeting customers)Analyse and understand key underlying dynamics of sustainable finance in the region.Provide feedback on product needs/ideas/concepts to the Product Management Teamdevelopment through market and customer exposureWork with marketing and product strategy teams to drive marketing initiatives.Find ways to use data and technology to drive sales enablement and efficiencies. Act as speaker or facilitator of expert panels in internal and external meetings and conferencesDrive continuous service improvement with goal of revenue production and customer retention.

  Qualifications:

  Proven track record of sales success, fast growth and consistently achieving commercial targets a mustBachelor's degree in finance, economics or related area requiredExperience in ESG, Sustainable Finance and/or Financial Services is requiredA minimum of 7 years of experience in a sales/business development roleFamiliarity with financial sector and intermediaries in ASEAN/South Asia/AustralasiaSignificant experience in managing sales professionalsOutstanding customer relationship management experience, including C-level interactionsProven interaction and networking capabilities with regional industry bodies and associationsFluency in English is mandatory and proficiency in Korean would be a plus

  Key Skills - Technical

  Well-developed IT skills including advanced Microsoft Office applications, PowerPoint and Advanced ExcelWorking knowledge of Salesforce, or equivalent Customer Relationship Management tool, is a plus

  Key Skills - Non Technical

  Strong sales leadershipStrong interpersonal, communication and marketing skillsHighest ethical standardsComfortable working in a multi-cultural environmentProfessional, pro-active, flexible, diligent and dependableCreative problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose issues and develop solutionsAbility to multi-task and meet short deadlinesAbility to work both independently and within a team environment, with focus and high attention to detail
