BluePearl Pet Hospital is searching for an experienced, motivating, and driven clinical leader to join our team as Vice President of Medicine . The individual will be responsible for the medical operations of the organization through leading the Regional Vice President of Medicine team (RVPM) and medical leaders of specific functions, including but not limited to Radiology Medical Director and Pet Hospice Medical Director.

Key Responsibilities :
Partners with the Vice President of Operations (VPO), Director of P&O Operations and Vice President of Clinical Affairs to assist in the development and execution of organizational strategies.
Ensures the development of medical leaders and creates a pipeline of talent to support future organizational growth.
Provides hospital leadership education and mentoring that focuses on all aspects of the associates’ development.
Actively contributes to the development of practice guidelines, care protocols, and organizational strategies that lead to the achievement of excellence in medicine and overall practice quality.
Supports RVPMs in the planning and direction of medical operations to maximize returns on investments and increase productivity by providing leadership and decision-making in matters impacting medical quality, clinical culture, and clinical effectiveness.
Monitors KPI measurements and support field teams in developing strategies that clearly demonstrate impact and effectiveness.
Creates a developmental plan, coordinating leadership education, mentoring, and learning activities that supports internal growth. Collaborates with People and Organization on talent management initiatives.
Supports RVPMs with organizational objectives in areas involving medical quality, clinician recruitment, retention, and engagement, ensuring that the hospital is a learning environment supporting development of clinicians and technicians.
Accountable for organizing the process that ensures clinician productivity levels are appropriate for their compensation and service growth.
Supervises and supports the new hospital integrations process.
Represents the field, DVMs, and all associates internally with cross-functional teams for strategic decisions across disciplines and business units as needed.
Ensures that all programs, initiatives, and roll outs have a 360-execution plan so that the impact on the field (timing, schedule, communication, support/training materials, etc.) is optimal.
Collaborates with various functional partners on strategic initiatives.
Supports senior leaders in the creation of content and support materials for regional meetings.

The successful candidate will be/have:
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine or equivalent degree required.
10+ years of clinical practice as an Emergency or board-certified Specialty Clinician required.
5+ years in a leadership role with oversight of multiple hospitals and/or revenues of $100MM+ required.
Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment, while working under minimal supervision.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, prioritization of work, and problem-solving skills. Utilizes in-depth knowledge as well as business needs to recommend appropriate action.
Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Maintains current knowledge regarding the veterinary profession and industry issues which may impact the business.
Experience with MS Office and other relevant technology for presentations and reporting.
Ability to travel up to 50%.
