Located in Downtown Austin, the live music capital of the world and boasting a cutting-edge culinary scene, Hyatt Centric Austin on Congress Avenue is in search of a Venue Manager. Reporting directly to the Assistant Director of Food and Beverage, the Venue Manager will provide direct oversight and support to our three-meal period restaurant, lobby/terrace bar and banquet operations. The Venue Manager plays a crucial role in creating a positive and memorable experience for guests while ensuring the efficient functioning of the Food and Beverage outlets.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Assist with short- and long-term planning for restaurant outlet operations, ensuring seamless front and back of the house management.
Manage budgets, concepts, and objectives with guidance from Assistant Director of Food and Beverage.
Monitor expenses and revenue, ensuring financial goals are met.
Provide direct oversight and support to outlet colleagues, assisting in recruitment, training, performance reviews, and more.
Create schedules and ensure adequate staffing levels for events and hotel occupancy.
Collaborate with various hotel departments to ensure efficient guest service, coordinating outlet operations effectively.
Resolve customer complaints, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction and quality service.
Utilize customer service data to identify trends and opportunities for enhancing the guest experience.
Ensure quality control for both food and beverage, maintaining Hyatt standards of service.
Coach and counsel employees to reflect Hyatt service standards and procedures.
Review colleague experience scores and implement strategies to enhance colleague engagement and satisfaction
Process payroll and manage tip pool payout for multiple Food and Beverage outlets.
Execute Banquet Event Orders and maintain event space.
Purchase all goods and supplies for Food and Beverage front of house operations.

Hyatt Centric Congress Avenue Austin features 246 guestrooms, 3,000 sq ft. of dedicated meeting space, along with two exciting F&B concepts including an 8th floor rooftop bar. Guestrooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows offering unmatched views of the Texas Capitol, UT Stadium, and growing Austin skyline. The 31st floor is the home of the Artist’s Residence, a 1,400sq ft suite and event space with an outdoor terrace. The hotel’s boho-chic residential design will reflect Austin’s rich history in music and arts, with the common areas showcasing diverse local artists and guestrooms featuring iconic images from the historic neighboring Paramount Theatre.
Qualifications:
Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with diverse groups.
3-4 years of progressive hotel F&B management experience.
Previous experience in Banquets/Event Services is strongly preferred.
Service-oriented with professional presentation skills.
Demonstrated leadership abilities in high-volume concepts.
Strong emotional intelligence and interpersonal skillset.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Excellent organizational and administrative skills.
Knowledge of Micros Simphony preferred.
Skilled in payroll systems such as Kronos and Evention preferred.
