Job Duties and Responsibilities
DISH Wireless is seeking a Transport Engineer I - Provisioning and Testing, tasked with working extensively with both EXFO equipment and Cisco routers to test Ethernet and Wave circuits delivered by our fiber provider partners. The primary focus of this role involves testing all transport connectivity, measuring circuit performance, and effectively resolving any network issues identified during the process. We are actively seeking individuals with a robust background in telecom and transport, and the successful candidates will be responsible for daily testing and resolution of circuit issues. In this role, you will:
Responsible for the performance of all ethernet circuits in specific assigned region
Test circuits end to end remotely through exfo testing equipment
Record all passing tests and complete associated tasks
Open trouble tickets with the fiber providers for failing tests and work to resolution
Partner with network engineers and fiber providers on troubleshooting calls when needed.
Identify lease input metric stats/accuracy
Skills, Experience and Requirements
As a successful Transport Engineer II, you will have:
BA/BS degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
Advanced in GSuite and MS Office
Understanding and knowledge of Cisco Commands
Exfo Testing experience
Proactively recognize and define opportunities/problems, determine solutions to address them, and independently oversee solutions through to completion
Regularly recommend changes that improve existing business processes and overall department performance
Demonstrate exceptional skills in judgment, listening, and decision-making
Have strong project management skills including a demonstrated ability to plan, schedule, organize, coordinate, manage, & evaluate project efficiency
Cisco CCNA is a plus
Salary Ranges
Compensation: $75,600.00/Year - $108,000.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location. Candidates need to successfully complete a pre-employment screen, which may include a drug test and DMV check.
