About Windows Systems Administrator – Mid Level

  Overview

  i3 is seeking a Windows Systems Administrator to support an Army Contract. The Systems Administrator will provide technical expertise supporting information system components, infrastructure integration and maintenance to satisfy architectural and business requirements in support of customer labs. The Windows Systems Administrator must have a customer centric approach and provide all levels of support for the user base community. Candidates for this position must possess, at a minimum, a United States SECRET level security clearance. This position is located in Huntsville, AL.

  Responsibilities

  Provide direct customer service and technical support to local and remote users as required via phone, e-mail, on-line systems and in person.

  Perform implementation of system additions and/or enhancements and makes recommendations to management.

  Manages the functionality of servers and computers running Windows operating systems such as Windows 10.

  Experience deploying, configuring, and maintaining physical and virtualized windows server baselines within an Active Directory environment.

  Experience with Microsoft Active Directory groups, GPOs, user accounts, and other objects.

  Experience with Windows Operating System migrations. Specifically, Windows 10 migrations.

  Experience with Windows System patching, 3rd party patching and software deployment utilizing tools such as WSUS and Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).

  Ability to apply customized Windows images to various system within a mixed environment.

  Experience installing and troubleshooting HBSS ePO products on client and server systems.

  Experience with Multifactor authentication, CAC/Smartcard PKI and certificate management in a Windows environment.

  Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware and creating Server and Desktop VMs.

  Perform printer troubleshooting and assist in managing a print server.

  Maintains the integrity and security of servers and systems.

  Assist in maintaining system documentation such as SOPs and policies.

  Understanding of Information Assurance (IA) systems and practices such as DISA STIGs, RMF and system hardening.

  Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products.

  Provides advice and training to end-users.

  Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.

  Qualifications

  Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. Degree may be substituted with additional years of experience.

  Ability to work with little or no direct supervision and in a team environment.

  Must have Excellent Customer Service Skills.

  Strong Systems Administration principles and troubleshooting experience.

  Strong Information Technology (IT) principles and troubleshooting experience.

  Strong DoD Security practices and knowledge, including COMSEC and facility security standards.

  Must have DoD 8570/8140 IA Certification (Security+ CE).

  Must have a current relevant Microsoft Certification (MCSA, MCE related to Server OS or similar).

  Secret Security clearance or higher.

  U.S. Citizenship is required.
