  DESCRIPTION OF WORKAs an intern, you will have the opportunity to work on a range of projects and gain valuable experience in Park Operations, Resource Management, Administration, and Environmental Education. You will be involved in facilitating DiscoverE camp programs, giving presentations on history and ecology, organizing our digital photo collection, and providing information to visitors at various locations within the park. Additionally, you will assist with field work related to ongoing projects and park activities. This internship will provide you with a well-rounded experience in the park industry.

  Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time internship that will last from 5/1/24 to 8/30/24.Work hours: May work nights and weekends, not to exceed 37.5 hours a week. Typical hours 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.You will receive further communication regarding this position via email.   QUALIFICATIONSInternship Requirements:Current full-time enrollment in a two-year degree, bachelor's degree or advanced degree program in one of the following acceptable majors:BiologyEducation (elementary or secondary)Parks and RecreationAn approved major course which includes a qualifying 24 credit hours of study in the physical, biological and environmental sciences may be acceptable.Freshman year completedGood academic standing (2.0 GPA or higher)Pennsylvania residency or enrollment at a Pennsylvania college or university

  Additional Requirements:This position requires possession of a valid Class C non-commercial driver's license.You must be able to perform essential job functions.
