About Sr. Program Manager, Fraud & Abuse Prevention Team

The Fraud & Abuse Prevention designs, risk models and operational processes that minimize risk and maximize trust in Amazon.com. The Program Manager will be responsible for driving global initiatives/process improvement programs focused on reducing cost by improving efficiency, improve quality of operations and improve customer experience.

  Expectation from the role is to lead and motivate others to meet the challenges of an extremely deadline-driven environment where explosive growth needs to be balanced against evolving customer demands and where quality of results is paramount. This position requires a talent with the proven leadership ability to facilitate and guide and drive projects resulting in process optimization, cost reduction, customer experience improvement, as well as the ability to teach those methods to other managers and associates in order to foster a culture of continuous improvement.

  Key job responsibilities

  You are responsible for defining and delivering important programs with broad impact. You should successfully deliver solutions and mechanisms that resolve significantly complex problems and provide a long-term beneficial impact.

  • Your contributions are noteworthy and recognized both in and outside of your organization (e.g., improves business efficiency, simplifies/improves quality, reduces bottlenecks)

  • You operate with autonomy, showing high judgment in decisions that have business and technical implications.

  • You identify and tackle intrinsically hard problems. (e.g., ambiguous, extremely complicated, with little to no existing structure)

  • You are adept at building consensus. You align teams toward coherent strategies. You bring clarity to complexity, probe assumptions, illuminate pitfalls, and foster shared understanding.

  • You’re an exemplary practitioner of Project and Program Management – you model best practices in communications (status reports, program documents, PR/FAQs, stakeholder management), planning and scheduling, identifying critical path, managing risk, and escalating appropriately.

  • Conduct effective meetings (business and program reviews) and able to dive deeply into details as easily as convey high-level plans with clear and concise verbal and written communication. Transform raw thoughts into clear documentation and requirements (e.g., project charter, statement of work, responsibility matrix, functional requirements, implementation approach, reporting,

  Basic Qualifications

  5+ years of program or project management experience

  Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

  Preferred Qualifications

  2+ years of driving process improvements experience

  Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

  Experience in complex problem solving, and working in a tight schedule environment
