About the Role:Maxar has an opening for a Sr Director, Business Development on the USGovernment team. You will be responsible for identifying, assessing, andgenerating demand to execute enhanced offerings on existing major USGcontract.
You will work closely with internal stakeholders to meet annual revenue andbooking quotas, while developing and implementing the growth strategy set byleadership and other cross-functional teams. The role requires a technicalteam player and peer leader with a focus on increasing awareness and adoptionof Maxar's robust earth observation imagery solutions and capabilities.
This role is an opportunity to expand the growth of an existing contract withthe NRO.You will utilize your technical understanding of the customer as wellas their requirements, budgets, and future plans to increase revenuegrowth and drive customer mission success. Your success will be founded onyour business relations background enabling you to drive engagement at anexecutive level. You should also have a demonstrated ability to thinkstrategically about the mission, product, and technical challenges, withthe ability to build and convey compelling value propositions.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement growth strategy alongside of account leads to executeenhanced offerings
Leverage existing relationships with senior NGA or NGO personnel
Convey and execute on technical vision, positioning Maxar's capabilitieswith the customers mission
Identify areas for growth and positioning that drives adoption of products andservices
Assess competitive risk using financial, budget and economic data andidentify manageable solutions for customers
Work cross collaboratively within internal and external stakeholders
Support Sales and Marketing teams in the development of product positioning,presentations, press releases, product workshops, training workshops,and customer visits
Strengthen and progress deep business and technical relationships through yourknowledge of NRO and/or NGA's environment
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in business or political science; work experience may besubstituted
10+ years of experience working in, or for, the intelligence or defensecommunity or government
Excellent cross-functional skills across customers, sales, strategy,marketing, product, legal, and operations
Illustrated success in achieving revenue targets
Self-starter with demonstrated success working in a deadline-drivenenvironment with minimal supervision
Flexible with the ability to work independently and on teams
Strategic approach to product positioning
Deep geospatial knowledge with a netw rk in the industry
