The Secure Processing Solutions (SPS) department is responsible for the design, test and certification of secure mission computers, cross domain technologies, and cryptographic products which equip our warfighters to thrive in today’s multi-domain battlespace. Our department collaborates with portfolio teams across the organization to help capture new business and create security solutions that address our customers’ demanding needs.

The Software Based Cross-Domain Solution within the SPS department is responsible for the development of an application that enables secure transition of data across security levels. The team is looking for a Software Engineer I to support the expansion of our CDS capabilities.

What You Will Do:

Participation on a collaborative integrated product team, employing agile software development techniques and resources to plan, design, develop, test, and integrate complex software and systems solutions.

Actively work in the full product development life-cycle writing software solutions, including embedded software solutions.

Effectively communicate with internal team members and leadership.

Qualifications You Must Have:

Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).

The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required

U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer:

Experience with Object Oriented languages (C++)

Experience with Embedded languages (Ada, Rust)

Experience with Embedded Software Solutions

Experience working in Atlassian tools (JIRA, Bitbucket, Confluence, Bamboo)

The salary range for this role is 53,000 USD - 103,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
